Managing parking bookings

After fully setting up your parking lot and associated profiles, users can start booking as desired. As an administrator, we give you insights in the parking booking per user. The parking overview shows for which date a user made a parking booking, for which parking lot and zone.

Applies to

Parking lots can be created and managed by the following administrator roles:

  • Subscription Administrators (Subscription Owners, automatically are assigned this role)
  • Building Administrators
  • Shift Administrators

Parking booking overview

The parking booking overview allows you to have a direct overview on the parking bookings made. Depending on your admin role you have the possibility to make an export and/or delete bookings. Filtering can be done with the available filters and search functions. The parking booking overview shares a tab with the shifts. To get to the correct overview, go to Bookings >> Parking spots.

Parking on the API

Parking bookings are also accessible through the API. The license plates specificaare available on the endpoints to retrieve the users and the parking spots. It is good to note that in both situations the latest license plate known is shown. That means that if an employee swaps their license plate (for example, when they have 2 cars), all the bookings, including historical ones, show the latest known license plate.

Data retention

Parking bookings and workspace bookings do not only share the same tab, but also the retention period. The retention period determines how long Mapiq stores the user data in their database. This retention period also determines how long the parking bookings are available on the Mapiq Public API. To set the desired retention period follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Settings >> General;
  2. Click on Edit and scroll down until you see Privacy.
  3. Drag the slider under Shift data retention period (in days) to the desired duration.

  Parking booking visibility

In this example the parking bookings are visible 1 month (30 days) in the past, through the admin portal and on the API.
