Single Sign On or Self Sign Up
To log in to Mapiq, either of these two options are configured:
- Single Sign On (SSO)
- Self Sign Up (SSU)
SSO works with your own organization's log in flow. By filling in your work e-mail address, you will be redirected to the login page of your organization. Here you can use your organization's credentials to log in. With SSO you do not have to create a separate account, or remember a new password, you can use your work credentials.
With SSU, the login flow is a tad different. You still fill in your work e-mail address, but instead of being redirected to your organization's login page, you will be directed to Mapiq sign in page. As shown below.
It is necessary to create an account first before it becomes possible to log in. When an account is created, the created password can be filled in, and you can continue by clicking on Sign in. To sign up, you will need to click on the Sign up now link to get to the sign up form. On the sign up form you need to validate your e-mail, fill in a new password (store it safely!) and your given- and surname. Your given- and surname are also your display name within the application.

Email domain is not recognized
For both the SSO and SSU situation, it is necessary to fill in a valid email domain when logging in to app.mapiq.com. For support@mapiq.com, the email domain is @mapiq.com. Mapiq validates a user based on the email domain. If your email domain is not recognized you will run into the error message displayed below.
These 'valid' email domains are predetermined during the implementation of the project and are unique per customer. In some cases, however, it can occur that email domains need to be added. Reasons could be that the project is expanded, or a valid email domain was simply not discussed during the implementation process. To do so, Mapiq needs approval of the Subscription Administrator within your organization. In these cases, get in touch with Mapiq Support to kick off the process to add this domain. Be aware that a certain request can be denied!
Password reset or signing up
It frequently occurs that users that need to sign up for Mapiq end up in the password flow. In the chapter above, it is explained that users need to click on Sign up now. Whatever the reason, a lot of users that have SSU configured click on Forgot your password? to create a password. When doing so, you will also need to validate your e-mail address, but when trying to validate an error message will be given that this account does not exist within the environment yet.

If you encounter the error message above, sign your self up first. When signed up properly, you're able to log in.
Password resets are not necessary with the SSO configuration. It will always be your latest work credentials. If you ever lose your password with the SSU configuration, then use the password reset flow.
Mapiq keeps loading
User within Mapiq can encounter loading times. In those cases, users will see a spinner in the middle of the screen, as shown below. But when it keeps spinning and nothing is loaded, you know something is wrong. In general, there's usually not much you can do except for waiting it out or trying to restart.
There is one exception though. An infinite spinner is also encountered when using Internet Explorer. When using Internet Explorer to load app.mapiq.com, you will not be able to access it. Internet Explorer is incompatible with Mapiq. Supported browsers are:
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari
- Microsoft Edge
