Why can't I book a room in advance? 

Your employer determines how far in advance your room can be booked. Please contact your employers' or universities' service desk for more information. 


How can I log into Mapiq?

You can log in by visiting your company's specific mapit URL (looks like: https://'companyname'.mapiq.net). Here you can log in with your companies account, so you don't have to create a new account. 


NOTE: when our native application Mapiq Now is available for your company, you can download the Mapiq app. You can enter by filling in the name of your company en log in with your companies credentials


How can I book a desk?

Mapiq doesn't believe in desk booking. We believe by providing you with the insights which workplaces are free you don't have the need to book a workplace at all. No workplace booking makes it easier for you to find workplaces which suit your activities. Not only on an daily but even on a hourly basis. 


Mapiq web:

You can easily find a workplace that suits your needs by: 


  1. Opening the 'Find a place to work' section in the menu
  2. Select the type of workplace you're looking for
  3. Head on there by clicking the 'show route to...' button

Mapiq Now:

You can easily find a workplace that suits your needs by: 


  1. Open the Here & Now tab' in Mapiq Now
  2. You can see available workplaces nearby or you can filter on a specific type of workplace
  3. Find the location by opening the workplace and push the 'Show on map' button

Which information does Mapiq store about me?  

Mapiq doesn't store any personal information. When you have access to Mapiq Now (native application), your location is used for location based suggestions, working together or controlling parts of your surroundings. In that case, Mapiq uses your real time location and doesn't store it. 


Mapiq cares about privacy and is compliant with GDPR / AVG and ISO 27.001 & ISO 9.001 certified. On top of that Mapiq is PEN tested on a regular basis by big international corporate clients. In a PEN test specialists try to break into Mapiq systems to see if there are vulnerabilities. Because Mapiq uses SSO (Single Sign On), Mapiq doesn't have to store any information about you. 


How many bookings are left on my quotum? 

In some cases, mostly at Universities, a quota is set for the amount of cumulative time you can book a room. If you try to book a meeting which exceeds your quotum Mapiq will let you know. If you have any questions regarding your quotum, please contact your servicedesk. 


I lost my password, what do I do? 

Because Mapiq provides you access via Single Sign On (SSO), Mapiq does not have your password. If you forgot your password you can visit your companies service desk for a solution.


Which AV equipment is available in the room? 

You can see which AV equipment is available in a room. by opening the room's details page.

When selecting a room to book, you can will see all facilities present in the room in the description section of the information page.

Does Mapiq have an App? 

Mapiq does have a native application called Mapiq Now. If it is available for your company, depends on the set up. If you would like to know if it's available, check your servicedesk. 


NOTE: if the app is not available for your company but you want to use Mapiq on your portable devices, you can visit Mapiq on your browser and add it on your home screen (see the next question for help)


I can't book a room in the Here & Now tab in Mapiq Now?

If all rooms are booked, than the chances of no shows will enhance. For small chats or quick discussions it is mostly not necessary to book rooms. In that case you can use ad hoc spaces which are visible in the Here & Now tab. If you do want to book a room, use the meet tab.

Why doesn't Mapiq show my location?

If Mapiq doesn't show your location: 


  1. First try to refresh your page, by pulling down in the 'Here & Now' tab. 
  2. If that doesn't work, please check your location sharing settings. You can find those in the 'You' tab. 
  3. If that doesn't work please contact your service desk.
